燕嶺青年藝術家駐地計劃

一、背景 Background

燕嶺園，是燕嶺文化傳播旗下位於東莞的舊建築活化項目。項目所在地經歷了三十多年的歷史變遷，從前身的“自學成才大學”，到燕嶺賓館舊址，它就像一個故事的親歷者，過去在不同的時期，承載了不同的歷史使命。直至現在的燕嶺園，通過具有社會價值的發展計畫，歷久彌新打造成一個保留原有獨特的歷史痕跡、增添多種功能的創新地標。在藝術領域，燕嶺園致力於為國內外新生代藝術家提供一個展示才華、分享理念、互動交流的多元化平臺，也為公眾提供一個結合歷史傳統和藝術文化創意的體驗及休閒園地。

Yan Garden is a revitalization project in Dongguan under Yan Concept. The location of the project has undergone for more than 30 years of historical changes, from the “self-taught university” to the former site of “Yanling Guesthouse”. It is like a witness to a story to carry historical missions in different periods.

Up to now, Yan Garden has been reformed to a new landmark with original features and brand-new functions through its socially valuable development plan. In the field of art, Yan Garden is committed to providing a new platform for new generation artists at home and abroad to showcase their talents, share ideas and interact with each other. We are also intent to provide the public with a place of historical traditions as well as artistic and cultural creativity.

燕嶺文化傳播希望通過「燕嶺青年藝術家駐地計劃」招募國內外有潛力的年輕藝術家們共同參與，通過項目提供的支持和援助，讓年輕藝術家擁有一個藝術創造、創新和實踐的平臺。2019年度駐地參與者將以東莞為基地和研究對象，通過對駐地周邊社區和地區的考察、研究以及走訪周邊藝術機構、藝術交流等活動，幫助駐地參與者瞭解當地文化藝術氛圍，深入其中並結合當下特定環境和語境的同時，融入或啟發自身的藝術創作和研究，亦通過與其他藝術家的分享和交流瞭解世界藝術前沿資訊，激發他們的創作靈感、思路，助於他們進行獨立的藝術創作和研究，在藝術舞臺上獲得展示個人才華的機會。

Yan Concept aims to recruit international young artists through Young Yan Artists Residence Program. By supporting and providing assistance in this project, young artists are given a platform for artistic creation, innovation and practice. In 2019, the participants will take Dongguan as the base and research object for understanding the local culture and art atmosphere in order to integrate their art piece with local culture through the study and research of the surrounding communities and regions, visiting the surrounding art institutions and art exchanges. At the same time, we hope that the Young Yan Artists Residence Program can be the stepping stone for young artists to learn about world art frontier information through sharing and exchange with other artists, to inspire their creativity and to help them to carry out independent artistic creation and research. Most importantly, a valuable chance to show their talents in the international art stage.

二、驻地计划時間 Period

一年為一屆，一年四期，每期駐地為期兩個月，每期兩至三位藝術家

2-3 artists for each period and total 4 periods a year.

第一期 2019年7月1日至8月31日(已經結束)

1^st period：From 1 July to 31 August 2019（FINISHED）

第二期 2019年10月1日至11月30日(正在進行)

2^nd period：From 1 October 2019 to 31 November 2019（IN PROGRESS）

第三期 2020年1月1日至2月29日

3^rd period：From 1 January to 29 February 2020

第四期 2020年 4月1日至5月31日

4^th period：From 1 April to 31 May 2020

三、申請條件 Eligibility

18至35歲，粵港澳大灣區的青年藝術家，以當代藝術為創作或研究方向，視覺形式不限（繪畫、影像、裝置、綜合材料等）或文化藝術研究項目。

Applicants age from 18-35 who are working or studying or have a wish to develop career in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and whose interest and specialization in Modern Arts are welcomed to apply。

四、申請資料及流程 Application Process

（1）準備申請材料 Prepare the below material

1、填寫《申請表》和提供推薦信（在校學生和應屆畢業生）。

2、申請者3年內創作的作品圖片8-10張（圖片檔案名請注明“作品名稱、尺寸、材料、年代）。

3、数据準備齊全後整合成PDF檔（如有視頻作品請附有效鏈接或樣片），發至郵箱info@yangarden.com

（注意：郵件名稱和壓縮包請以“申請人姓名＋燕嶺青年藝術家駐地計劃”的格式命名。）

Send the prepared documents in PDF format (Links attached for any videos) to info@yangarden.com. Email title and the name of the ZIP file should be “Your Name + Young Yan Artists Residence Program”

（2）審核步驟 Audit steps

1、第一期申請截止日期為2019年05月31號，並於06月10日前通知申請結果。年度申請截止日期為2020年02月20號。

Deadline of the 1^st Period is set on 31 May 2019 and result will be notified on or before 10 June. The deadline of the whole program will be on 20 February 2020

2、藝術家入選後，我們會與您商定駐地時間，簽訂駐訪合作協定。

The residence period and agreement will be discussed with the shortlisted artists

3、所有材料一旦提交，將作為內部資料存檔，恕不退還；不完整的材料無法通過審核，請註意。

Incomplete documents will not be adjudicated and all the submitted material will not be returned.

五、駐留期間主要活動 Major Activities during the residence

（1）藝術家在駐留期間，可在園區內自由選擇地點進行創作；若想延長駐地時間，提前壹個月與我們聯系即可；

The artist must conduct art piece stated in the application form during the residence period. The artist can use our studio and anywhere of the garden for the art-making process.

（2）在藝術家駐留期間，園區將設立駐地工作坊開放日，為期一天。藝術家可以自由參與，和我們共同策劃開放日的主題和形式；

The artist must conduct at least one Workshop or Open Day during the residence period. Topic and the format will be based on the application form or the request from the community.

（3）駐地結束前，園區將開展藝術家駐地計劃成果展，希望各位藝術家都能創作出自己滿意的作品。

The artist is required to have presentation on their finished projects after the residence program.

六、主辦方提供的支援 Other Support

1、參與者所在地往返東莞駐地的一次往返交通費用；

One round-trip transportation costs from home to Dongguan

2、駐地期間的生活和創作補助費用；

Subsidy of living and work conducting expenses

3、與其他藝術家的交流活動和顧問團隊的階段性指導和交流；

Experience-sharing activities

4、項目和周邊環境介紹；

Site visiting

5、有機會參加年度駐地藝術家作品展覽；
